How it works

  1. 1

Type your page title — keep it under ~580 pixels (≈60 characters) so Google doesn't truncate it.

  2. 2

Add the page URL and meta description — the preview updates live as you type, in Google's own result style.

  3. 3

Toggle desktop / mobile — check both widths; mobile truncates titles sooner.

  4. 4

Copy the HTML — get a ready-to-paste <title> + meta description snippet for your page.

Frequently asked questions

What is a SERP?

SERP stands for Search Engine Results Page — the page Google shows after someone searches. Your listing there has three parts: the blue clickable title, the URL breadcrumb, and the gray description. This tool previews exactly that.

Why does Google cut off my title or description?

Google measures in pixels, not characters — wide letters like "W" take more space than "i". Titles get about 580–600px (≈60 characters) and descriptions about 920px (≈155–160 characters) on desktop. Anything longer is truncated with "…". The live pixel meters above warn you before that happens.

How can I get more clicks (higher CTR)?

Put the main keyword near the start of the title, add a number or year ("2026"), use brackets for clarity ("[Free Tool]"), and write the description as a mini-ad: state the benefit and end with a call to action. Match the searcher's intent — the snippet is a promise your page must keep.

Are the pixel widths exact?

They're close approximations. Google renders titles in a proportional font, so exact width depends on your specific letters. Treat 580px / 920px as safe limits and always spot-check in real search results after publishing.

Does the URL affect rankings or clicks?

Short, readable URLs with the keyword don't directly boost rankings much, but they build trust and get more clicks — and CTR is a signal Google watches. Avoid long parameter-filled URLs in your snippet.
